Easter 2016

This Easter was lovely! we went to Waterford for a few nights and made it a really nice weekend! and we spent time with my family! it's so nice to have some quaity time with the kids together! I didn't actually get any photos of their Easter eggs this year. I usually always get a nice photo, but this year it just didn't happen! We stayed for a few nights in a hotel in town and we really enjoyed the break!

We had a lovely dinner with my parents, and just had a really relaxing day eating too much chocolate and catching up. I'm so happy that we got to spend a lovely Easter with my family.

Easter Holiday fun 2016

This week we had our Easter holidays and mid term break. It was a long break trying to keep the kids occupied. Dylan was happy to play with his friends and play football, but Lauren is still at the age where she needs to be entertained. I think I must have gone through every activity I could think of!

We are all looking forward to Easter this Sunday as we are going away to visit my parents for the weekend! I'm loving having them home, they are having a great time. Lauren even did an Easter camp and had a brilliant time!

Today the children were both walking in the St. Patrick's Day parade! They had so much fun and it was so nice to see them walking along! we were so proud of them!

Mother's Day 2016

I had the loveliest Mother's Day today. my little guys treated me so well and made the day so special. They bought me a beautiful purse, flowers, a candle and chocolates and they took me out for dinner to a beautiful place in Malahide. I felt utterly spoily, and so very happy!

my new glasses!

So after suffering with blurred vision and sore eyes, I finally decided to go and get my eyes retested again. Who knew I have astigmatism like the children! So I got fancy new lenses and and a lovely pair of frames which I am so happy with, I just love them!

 

The only downfall is I've given myself over three weeks now to get used to these anti-fatigue lenses and I just don't think they are working for me at all. They have a small area at the end of the glasses with help to bring close up work to me, but I just can't seem to acclimatise to them and I've asked the optician to switch them to the single vision lens. These cost me a lot, so I want to get equally good single vision lenses. I have to say I was very happy with my new optician, he's great and really sorted out my issues, great service!

Lauren's 7th Birthday Party

 Today we held Lauren's 7th birthday party in Jump Zone, the trampoline party place! she had a blast, talk about being excited! I don't think I've seen her smile so much!

 

 All of her friends made the day so special for her, and we are so thankful for them all for sharing this special day with our little girl.

Our Princess turns 7

Today our little princess turns 7! I can't quite believe how grown up that sounds.

 

This year Lauren is having her party at the trampoline place Jump Zone, her party is all set for tomorrow, and she is so excited. She loved her birthday presents this morning, it's so lovely to watch her get all excited for her presents!

 

 

And as per tradition in our house, on your birthday you have to have a cake, even if your party is the next day and you will get more cake!

Lauren's bestie came for cake too of course!

 

Happy 7th birthday to our precious little girl, we love you so very very much. You are our special little princess who completes our little family and we love to watch you grow,  you are the sweerest gift and we adore you, and hope you enjoy every minute of your birthday, and your party tomorrow!
