Sports Day 2016

Today was Sports day at school! The kids were so excited, this is by far their favourite day of the year! It was scheduled to take place on Friday, but the weather was so wet and windy that the school rescheduled to Monday instead. 

Dylan was up first with his races, he takes his races really seriously and is super focused the whole way through. He had assessed everyone in the class and he decided that he was going to go for the bronze medal. He set himself that goal and he went for it! and he GOT IT!! I must have screamed the field away I was so excited!

Lauren was up next with her races, she loved them - she's really into the fun side of it, but I think she looked rather serious in some photos! she had a brilliant time and she won a medal too, I was jumping up and down with happiness! She was absolutely delighted with herself!

After the races it was the prize winning ceremony, and all the medal winners were presented with their medals!

Spain 2016 - Day 7

Our seventh and final day! 

We have had such a wonderful time making memories for our family here at the Sunset Beach Club, it has been so relaxing and I can highly recommend this hotel for families. Our children absolutely loved the pool and the activities that the hotel had on offer all week, the kiddie club was really great, and had so many great activities for the children. We were really happy with our choice of hotel, and I could see us coming back here to stay again. 

On our final day we had to pack and get organised and then checked out, we had the use of shower room and guest facilities on the day of check out, so we decided to spend the day relaxing at the pool and the poolside cafe and bar. We had a lovely lunch here, as we decided that we would get dinner on the way to the airport so we could use up the last of our time to relax and enjoy the sun!

These are our best 'relaxing by the pool and enjoying ourselves' expressions! we truly had an amazing time. I love nothing more than spending quality time together with our family, and we have made the most wonderful memories here.

Spain 2016 - Day 6

Day  6 of our holiday was spent soaking up the sunshine by the pool, and literally lazing around doing absoutely nothing but relaxing! we sunbathed and had a lazy lunch and swam in the pool. It was heaven!

Then we all went out for our last family dinner of the holiday, it was fab and it was still so warm even by the end of the evening.

Then it was home where we were all so exhausted that we went to bed early, as we were going to have a late night the next night travelling home, therefore we wanted the kids to get a good sleep the night before, they were out like lights!!

Can't believe tomorrow is the last day!

Spain 2016 - Day 5

Day five was another scorcher of a day!

 we decided to go into Benalmadena town and we went on the cable car there 'Teleferico Cablecar'  The cable car takes you to the peak of Mount Calamorro, from here you can see the views of Gibraltar and North Africa. It takes about fifteen minutes to get to the top of the mountain. I am not a huge fan of heights, so therefore I did feel a little nervous as we sailed through the sky! but the kids absolutely LOVED the ride!

This is one of the walks on the hiking routes, we only went on a small portion of this as we weren't wearing proper footwear at all! but we still managed to take in the magnificent views!

Of course all this hiking required some rest and refreshments!

When we got to the top of Mount Calamorro there was a birds of prey show on, showcasing many beautiful eagles and other birds of Prey. We even got to have one very brave eagle land on our heads!

The show was amazing, I have to say we really enjoyed it!

On our way back down we go some lovely photos too!

What a fabulous day we had, we finished up with some sight seeing and some dinner in the beautiful town!
