Our 12 year wedding Anniversary

Today Derek and I celebrated twelve years of marriage. We have had our ups and downs, but we work hard to always make tine for each other. I appreciate every year we are lucky enough to share together. This year makes 19 years with the love of my life.

Derek surprised me with a new bracelet for my charms,  and a beautiful new charm from Pandora, my favourite thing! Just look how pretty this wrapping is!

Anniversary date night

Tonight we went out to celebrate our wedding anniversary, we went to see Jason Byrne Live the comedian, we never even ended up with a photo together...... 11 years married and we forget the simple things like a photo together lol!

we had a really lovely night tonight! I can't believe we are married 11 years already. Time flies by, and we have achieved so much together, we are a team and we couldn't be happier than we are right now!

Our 7th wedding anniversary

Today Derek and I celebrated our seventh wedding anniversary, this year we didn't do anything fancy. We bought ourselves a barbecue and we had a lovely family barbecue with kids. After the kids went to sleep we had Victoria watch them and we went for a walk on the pier in Dun Laoghaire, and then we went for milkshake. It was very quiet and our walk was beautiful, the scenery is very beautiful there, it was also nice to spend some time together. It was a really lovely day, I got some beautiful photos from the pier as the sun was setting.

Happy 7th Wedding Anniversary Derek!

Our sixth wedding anniversay

Today Derek and I are married six years. It only feels like  yesterday that we walked down the aisle together. The years have flown by, I love my husband as much today as the day we were married. We have two beautiful children and a really nice life. I mean sure everything isn't always sunshine and roses, but like everything that is worthwhile you have to work at it. I really believe that if you work hard at your marriage then that is the ticket to being happy. I hope we will always be this happy!

On our anniversary night, we were curled up with our two lovely children watching a movie and having a lovely take away meal. I said to Derek, if we are still doing this on our anniversary in twenty years then I will be just as happy. If our children still want to snuggle up with us and enjoy a movie and take away, then we have raised some lovely kids who love to spend time with their parents! We don't need anything fancy! I couldn't ask for more than I have.

Our Wedding Cake

Today I am linking up with Britt over at 'The Magnolia Pair,' today she is hosting a wedding cake link up...

I am really excited to share today! I loved our cake, to me it was exactly what we wanted, it was elegant and tied the theme of our wedding together perfectly. The theme of our wedding was 'pink roses' I wanted the cake to reflect that, I had pink roses for my bouquet with a little diamante in each rose, I had little pink crystals on my dress too, and my bridesmaids wore pink and also had roses. I also had pink petals on each table, and our cake had pink roses too! I wanted the perfect shade of pink, I wanted the roses on our cake to be the same shade of pink as my bridesmaids dresses.

We were lucky enough to have one of the top wedding cake designers in Ireland, who happen to be very dear friends of my husband's family, and they were guests at our wedding. They did a truly amazing job, the cake was delicious- The bottom layer was chocolate biscuit cake, the middle layer was sponge and the top layer was traditional wedding cake!

Sadly our laptop crashed last year and the photos of our wedding were on it, and so I do have some photos, but the quality isn't as good as I would like, but you get the idea! I was delighted with our beautiful cake...

So I can't wait to see all the other beautiful cakes, the cake is so important as it ties in the whole theme of the wedding! It's lovely to look back and remember....

Our Fifth Wedding Anniversary

This day five years ago, Derek and I got married. I blogged about our wedding Here and Here before. This year I am looking back at our wedding again, and adding some more photos. We didn't get a CD with the photos on, so I uploaded these from photos we have....

I can't believe five years have passed since that day. I can't believe how much in love we still are after all the years we've been together. I love my husband more and more with each anniversary. I am thankful to have him in my life, and I am so lucky to be cherished, loved and taken care of by my amazing, darling husband. He makes me so happy that sometimes I want to freeze this moment in our life, and stay here forever, because our life is just so perfect right now. We have our challenges, our stresses and strains like every other couple, but life is pretty much as perfect as can be for us...
