Family Weekend Update 23/07/11

It's been so busy around here that I'm only getting to our weekend update today, and it's Thursday! you've got to love busy summer days....

Last weekend we took the kids to a nearby town Wexford, to go to the park there... We stopped for some lunch first.....

Then when we got to the park, we went on the swings and slide

Yes 'we' went on the swings and slide... That means Mummy too.... as usual!!

Dylan went on the monkey bars... He's getting quite good at them!

Look at my favourite people...

The clouds got really stormy on the way home... We took this photo on the way home..... Thought it looked beautiful, the calm before the storm!

We took the ferry home, which Dylan loves... Lauren was fast asleep, Look at the skies, the changed really fast...

Then the next day we went to the park here in town for a walk, and to play football

Then when we went home... we played in a box! Who needs to bother with toys eh! When you're kids will play in boxes!

And one for the records... Lauren's ringlets are starting to come in really quickly! Over the past week I've noticed them multiplying! I couldn't be happier they are absolutely adorable!

This coming weekend, we are going to the Spraoi festival in our town, and then on Sunday we are all going to Dublin, where we are going to have a weekend away. Dylan and Derek are going to a hurling match with friends, while I'm going shopping in Dundrum with my friend and Lauren! I am so super excited, we are going to have a really great weekend!

Our Fifth Wedding Anniversary

This day five years ago, Derek and I got married. I blogged about our wedding Here and Here before. This year I am looking back at our wedding again, and adding some more photos. We didn't get a CD with the photos on, so I uploaded these from photos we have....

I can't believe five years have passed since that day. I can't believe how much in love we still are after all the years we've been together. I love my husband more and more with each anniversary. I am thankful to have him in my life, and I am so lucky to be cherished, loved and taken care of by my amazing, darling husband. He makes me so happy that sometimes I want to freeze this moment in our life, and stay here forever, because our life is just so perfect right now. We have our challenges, our stresses and strains like every other couple, but life is pretty much as perfect as can be for us...

Here are the memories of our wedding.... I love you Derek...

We have two beautiful children which have come from our love and our marriage. I am so grateful for my beautiful children and husband.....

Happy Anniversary my darling

My going away party 16/07/11

Well, we've had to make a difficult decision, but the right decision for our family. That means we are moving back up to Dublin to be with Derek. The kids and I miss him too much, it isn't fair on our family to be apart like this. So we broke the news to Dylan, who was absolutely delighted to be moving back to his old school.

I guess you can have all the pros and cons in the world, but in the end children need their dads, and they need their family together. So we will be together again.

I am getting so excited to be moving back, I didn't think I would. I guess it's different this time as I know so many people there, and I know the area, and most importantly I know how much Dylan loved his school. He got on so well there, and I never had to worry about him for a second. I've been dealing with a lot of guilt, the day I left him in his new classroom I cried, he looked so little and lost and my heart nearly broke in two. My heart breaks every Monday morning when Derek leaves and I see how much he's missed. I can't do it anymore...... so off we go home!

So when I broke the news to my friends, they were upset that I was leaving, so they decided to throw me a going away party! We had such a great night..... There was too much wine.... way too much! but there was lots of laughs and good times.....

Here's some photos from the night...

The photos got a bit blurrier as the night went on! We had an amazing night, and thanks to all of my friends for showing me a great time.... Also thanks so much to Derek who took the kids to spend the night in my parent's house so the girls and I could have the house to ourselves...Love you all! xx

Family Update 11/07/11

So this weekend we took the momentous big step of moving Lauren into her toddler bed. So on Saturday we just relaxed around the house, Derek put the bed together and I just got the house in order, and just enjoyed being together..... I love having some quiet time at home with my family. We went to my parent's house for Sunday dinner, which we do every week, and on Monday I took the kids to the park... I walked them so far!
And of course I took way too many photos... as usual...

Look how my little guy helps his baby sister... he is just so adorable. I couldn't love him anymore! He pushed her on the swing, and he helped her climb up to the slide, and then he guided her safely down the slide. She is so adorable, she just adores her big brother..... I love these little people so much...
