Lauren's 1st ballet recital

Today we all went to see Lauren in her first ballet recital, 'The Magic of Musicals,' Lauren took part in the 'Lion King' segment, and it was an amazing show! You could see how hard all of the pupils had worked. She looked so tiny on the stage! The school has some very talented dancers! We really enjoyed the show, and we were all so proud of Lauren

Silly faces!

After the show we took the kids to dinner to celebrate, They loved it. Dylan was so proud of his baby sister, it was the cutest! Lauren was so excited she woke up at 7:00 am and the show wasn't until 6:30 pm, so she was really really tired when we finished dinner! But you can never be too tired for ice-cream!

And of course hugs with Daddy

We all had a great day

Happily Ever After

This weekend my little brother married the love of his life. We shared in a wonderful, special day joining our families together. Stephen & Siobhan held their wedding in the stunning Gaynes Park,  Essex,  London, and the location was sublime.  Siobhan walked up a flower lined garden to the alter,  at about 2.30pm the sun was on the way to mid afternoon and Siobhan's garden aisle looked ethereal.  With her flowing lace and chiffon gown and lace veil fluttering in the breeze.

The moment she turned the corner I looked at my brother and I remembered all the days we shared as a family.  I waited for Siobhan to reach him and joon our family too. I found it difficult to keep my tears in check. The ceremony was touching, I will never forget this day. To join two people in the moment they become a family is sacred.

First photo as husband and wife, I'm hoping to get some shots of Siobhan walking down the aisle from the photographer, as photographs were not allowed until this point in the ceremony.

Smiles All Round

This week was very busy getting ready for my brothers wedding and getting the kids organised for their trip to Derek's parents, where they will be staying while we are at the wedding. We did have some lovely moments I wanted to remember!

I suppose the most important moment I want to remember, and the reason I've been able to share all these moments with my babies lately. I have taken a career break for a while to spend more time with my children, and it is hands down and without doubt the best decision I have ever made. We are enjoying it immensely, and I am so grateful to be able to have this time with them. I have some plans for the future, but for now I am enjoying this time in my life. It is benefitting my children, which is my only priority right now.

So my favourite moments this week....
This photo of Lauren and her Treasured Doll Robin, in matching pyjamas!

Dylan and Mommy time, drinking hot chocolate and chatting! He doesn't like me to take photos of him anymore, this makes me sad, but he is growing up fast. I will have to accept that as he gets older it is just not 'cool' having your Mom snapping away in the background! How embarrassing Mom!

Dressing up as princesses, with Mommy's wedding tiara perched happily on her head!

Decorating our doll clothes

Snuggles in the 'big bed' which is what they call Mommy's bed!

We made cupcakes, my little guys were great helpers!

We hosted the class teddy bear this weekend, he's called smiles and he had a great time! We took him to see 'Home' and we went to Pizza Hut. He also went to ballet class and the park!

After school on Friday Lauren finally consented to getting her hair cut, and it looks so much better. She got a little bob and it is adorable, she was delighted with herself sitting up having her hair washed! She went to a big girl hairdresser and got a curly blow dry, she was so cute!

I did get to spend some time with my little boy this week when we went to the video arcade while Lauren went to a birthday party!

I had a great time too! Dylan had a ball!

With more time to spend at home I am hoping that there will be much more fun days ahead! and plenty of smiles all round!
