Lauren's Nativity Play

Lauren had her nativity play today! She played a star, and she was truly our little star! 

She was adorable and smiling from ear to ear! All the kids were brilliant and so adorable, there is nothing like their little lines prompted and mixed up.... So cute!

Well done Lauren, we are so proud of you!

Christmas night out

This year the girls and I decided to enjoy a lovely meal for our girls night out! The food was delicious and I don't remember the last time we laughed so much!

The atmosphere was great in the restaurant, and we all had a great night! I loved the centerpieces on the tables these amazing old candelabras, aren't they beautiful?

Our girls night marks the start of the Christmas season, we had a great night and I am so looking forward to Christmas now!

Fairy Wishes

We got Lauren a fairy door this year, basically you get a little door that is a pathway to the fairy world! The children only use their imagination and we thought Lauren would love it, it turns out even the 10 year old was charmed by the magic!  You leave a little key and the fairy moves in and takes the key! You can leave little notes, and the fairy sometimes gets up to mischief!

We chose a pink door with butterflies 

The even more amazing part is the company that makes the doors is an Irish company, and they have set up an enchanted fairy walk! You can go and see the fairies living in the forests, or some Kids believe that the fairy goes there during the day and visits us at night! That's what Lauren and Dylan believe.

We found our door on the other side, we left a shiny penny there and our fairy brought it back and even left us a leaf from the forest!

After we visited the forest, we went a walk in the park, I loved the views!

We had a great day, I love to see magic alive in my kids!

Our School fair 2014

Today we had the school fair at the Children's school, they had a great time eating treats and taking part in the activities, complete with Santa hats and reindeer ears!

We had a really great day and it was so much fun, filled with laughter and maybe a little too much cake! Nanna and Grandad came up to visit too, complete with chocolate fudge cake for everyone to enjoy!

The Christmas tree is up and our house is getting festive... letters to Santa are being composed as we speak..... it's getting very exciting around here!

Trip to the Christmas Market 2014

Yesterday we all went to the Christmas market in Dublin City and it was so beautiful! we had food from the stalls and crepes with Nutella. The kids loved the lights and the stalls, there was a little sweet shop set up which they really loved! It was so cold, so after about an hour we went to get a cup of hot chocolate and warm up! 

It was a really lovely family outing, looking at the lights and being together.... Making family Christmas memories at my favourite time of the year!

This really got me excited about Christmas... I can't wait for the festivities to begin! 

A Decade with Dylan

My baby boy, how have you already been in our lives a whole decade, when it only feels like yesterday that you arrived. We love you so much, from the minute I laid eyes on you I loved you with all of my heart and soul.

 It has been the biggest privilege of my life to watch you grow up, and learn, and become who you are today.... I am eternally grateful that I was chosen to be your mother. Your Daddy would do anything for you, and spends hours playing football, video games and helping you with your homework. Your baby sister adores you, follows you everywhere, and loves you so much that she would do anything to make you laugh.

When I look back and see how much you've grown, it makes my heart swell with pride. Thank you for being you, my joy and love, my everything.....
