New Year's Eve 2017

New year's Eve was great fun this year! We've not been out for New Year in about 10 years, on our own that is!

This year we went to see our friends band play ' Sleeze & Cheese' our friend is the lead guitar, it's his biggest hobby so we wanted to be there for support!

It was a really great night, as a treat to myself as I was so busy over Christmas with work (so grateful) I had my hair and make up done and I felt great. I got Derek to take pictures of me in my new outfit too!

Christmas Day 2017

Christmas 2017 is coming to a close and what a wonderful day we had. We spent the day together as a family, enjoying our own magical traditions.

 Derek made the most delicious dinner, and my parents joined us for tea that evening. It was really lovely to see them and exchange gifts. The kids were given wonderful and thoughtful gifts. We are all so very lucky to have each other and our health.

Christmas Eve 2017

It's time! It's Christmas Eve, my most favourite night of the year! We had our usual funny family photos !

Then after our Christmas movie night with goodies, we got everything ready for Santa's visit!

 I was surprised Dylan would help so much, I thought this year he would be 'too cool' to get ready for Santa. He wasn't and he even posed for photos with his Christmas stocking!

Then it was time for our 'night before Christmas' 

Off we went to bed before Santa came! Lauren was so excited she could hardly sleep... She's sdorable!

 But he came and left some wonderful presents!

Even Sophie was tired out waiting for Santa!

It's been a wonderful Christmas season, it has been so lovely being in our own house, and in our home town again. We are so grateful to be here,  and healthy and happy!

Lauren's Christmas Show 2017

Lauren had her Christmas show today. It was ' Scrooge' and she played the part of 'Martha' she did an excellent job.

 She was very confident and acted her part so well! She has been practicing every song and detail for weeks. We're so proud of all the hard work that she put into her role!

Ice skating at Winterval

Today we took Dylan, Lauren and a friend each ice skating. It was so busy on the rink, but the kids didn't seem to mind. They had a brilliant time.

So all children were exhausted and frozen so we went for pizza and get nice and warm!

It was a lovely trip for them! I was freezing waiting there but loved to see their happy faces!
