Sophie's first 6 months

Sophie has been enjoying all sorts of firsts here with us, the kids have been so good and having a great time being dog owners! I'm proud of how well they are doing with Sophie! She has tripled in size since she arrived here in June, and we are besotted with her! The cats are slowly getting used to her, and I think she has settled in here with us really well!

So there it is the first six moths! It's been amazing and we have had so much fun and adventures with out little bundle of fur! Hope you're enjoying the Doyle family life Sophie!

Grandma's 70th Birthday

Tonight we celebrated Grandma Rose's 70th birthday,  Grandma Rose is Derek's mom so it was all of Derek's family there last night, and it was an amazing night, the food was beautiful and of course the company! we went for dinner on a boat on the river Liffey called the  Kill Airne. We had a really great night.

 Dylan and Lauren were still down with my mom and dad after we had my dad's 60th last night! so we made the most of the break by having a night out to celebrate another milestone birthday!

It was a very busy but lovey weekend celebrating these big occasions, Rosaleen had a fantastic party, and she loved having all of her kids around her!

We also had another huge milestone last night- Derek's baby sister and her boyfriend announced that they are getting married! It was an amazing surprise, and we are all absolutely delighted for them!

Dad's 60th Birthday

Last night we celebrated my Dad's 60th birthday! I can't believe how fast that went by! we took him for a very special meal in MacCleary's in Waterford and he had a really amazing time, we even took the kids out to dinner with us.

Of course we had to take some family photos before we went out!

I cannot get over the size of Dylan in these photo! he is almost the same height as me now... and his feet are bigger than mine now, I am a little sad that he is growing so fast!

Our Champion

Yesterday was one of our proudest moments as parents, Dylan played on the hallowed ground of Croke Park. His school took part in the Cumann Na Mbunscoil and they got to the finals and won! when I saw him step onto the pitch my eyes filled with tears, this is his dream come true! I am so proud of him and all the other boys on his team, their dedication and hard work paid off when they won the competition and were presented with the shield.

It was a dreary and very rainy day, but that didn't dampen our spirits, I've never cheered so much or had my heart lodged so firmly in my throat. Dylan played amazingly and set up lots of successful shots! He also took a 45 kick, unfortunately it didn't make a goal or a point, but he still did a fantastic job!

Well done to our amazing son, we are beyond proud of you! Lauren was so proud too, she made a big sign in the school colours to hold at the match, it was adorable.

Halloween Decor 2016

So today when we got home we put up our Halloween decorations, Lauren and Dylan had a brilliant time decorating and being creative! They are really looking forward to Halloween this year and they've already gotten their costumes! We are getting very spooky round here!
