A Decade with Dylan

My baby boy, how have you already been in our lives a whole decade, when it only feels like yesterday that you arrived. We love you so much, from the minute I laid eyes on you I loved you with all of my heart and soul.

It has been the biggest privilege of my life to watch you grow up, and learn, and become who you are today.... I am eternally grateful that I was chosen to be your mother. Your Daddy would do anything for you, and spends hours playing football, video games and helping you with your homework. Your baby sister adores you, follows you everywhere, and loves you so much that she would do anything to make you laugh.

When I look back and see how much you've grown, it makes my heart swell with pride. Thank you for being you, my joy and love, my everything.....

These are my favourite photos of you, in random, unedited order... These make us smile when we look at them.  Your achievements, your challenges, your journey...

The day you were born, I became a Mommy.... At 5pm on the 30th Of November 2004,  weighing 8 lbs 2 oz, you came into our lives, and everything changed. For me, my centre of the world changed, you are my sun, my moon and my stars.....

We love you Dylan, and we are so proud of you

Dylan's 10th birthday party

This year for Dylan's 10th Birthday we decided to go with Movie and Pizza, we did this for his 8th birthday and it was a big hit! Last year he didn't want a party, but this year we insisted! and I'm so glad we did! Boy did they have an amazing time! It was so cute, he was absolutely delighted, we celebrated his first decade in style!

Dylan's party invitation

Some of the gang after the movie, they went to see the new Hunger Games movie! I did a little research before to make sure it was suitable, and it was fine, they thoroughly enjoyed it!

Then it was time for pizza!

Dylan's birthday cake which my cousin Sian made, Dylan's God mother - she never misses a birthday, and always makes him a cake! Since Dylan loves doughnuts.... he got a giant one for his cake!

Sian and myself enjoying some quiet time when the kids were eating the lovely cake she made!

Mommy& Dylan birthday selfie before the big day!

Poor Derek was run ragged so we got no birthday pictures with him!
Dylan had a brilliant day, and it was lovely to see him have such a great time. I can't believe he is 10! We love you so much, and hope you had a great day!

Lauren's New Look

My brave little girl has been asking to get her ears pierced for so long but I've been putting it off forever, so this time when she asked I thought she would be old enough and we said she could. She was so brave, she was a little wobbly afterwards, but as soon as she looked in the mirror she was delighted. I went to a baby and toddler hair shop to have them done, they are much more expensive to have done here, but I wasn't taking any chances. So far we have had no issues with them.... so well worth the extra money to get the solid gold earrings. And she is one happy little girl...

Delighted!
