Family Trip to London 2014

So we are back from our family holiday to London and we had the best time, it's time to collate all my photos to remember our fun times. The children loved the airplane and they were so good!

When we got to London they were so tired after our early start, they finally fell asleep in our hire car JUST when we arrived at our hotel!

The first night we spent some time visiting with my brother and future sister in law and we made plans to meet for dinner as they live in London. Then the next morning was our highly anticipated trip to Harry Potter studio tour, before we went we had a lovely walk down by the riverside, the weather was beautiful and we got some lovely family photos.

Of course mommy had to have a turn on the slide too!

Next stop Harry Potter Studio Tour!

Our trip to Tayto Park

On Saturday we went to visit Tayto park in Co. Meath, it is so close to Dublin but we've never been! The weather was stunning! It was so warm out, and the kids thoroughly enjoyed every minute. They kept saying..... " Thanks so much for taking us here," it was so cute! It was expensive, but they had such a great time it was definitely worth every penny.

They went to the huge playground, we went to see the animals, there's a petting zoo also, and a splash park there's  this sky walk where you put a harness on and go for a walk in the treetops! Derek took Dylan on that one!  Dylan went on the abseiling wall, and Lauren went on the bounce trampoline with the harness!
There were great big smiles, pizza ,, snow cones and lots of laughter! we spent the whole day there  They finished the day in the maze before falling fast asleep!

It was a fantastic day, and we are strongly considering a family yearly pass!

I love the June bank holiday weekend with family! I was lucky enough to have 3 days off! we had a great weekend! we also went to visit with my family in Waterford..... it was a really lovely relaxing weekend, we are also getting very excited for our trip to London in less than 2 weeks! we are going to have the best time, we can't wait!

A walk with family

While we were on our visit to my parent's house over Easter, we went for a beautiful walk to Fenor, which is about a twenty minute drive from my parents. There is a lovely playground there and the most beautiful walk, there is a walkway sunk into the marshland and you can see wildlife and look at the mountain! The kids loved it and we got some lovely family photos!

I love my special family.....

It was such a great day, especially when the sun shone and we could feel the summer creeping in!

Our ' Mew ' Arrival

When we got baby Ambrose ( He is now 2.5 years old!) he was actually Amber... until the vet said she was a he and he became Ambrose! I actually don't think there is a better name for him, it is so totally unique! we love it and we love him, he is the sweetest little cat. We wanted to add another lil kitty to our family, we came across a litter of abandoned kittens at a friend's place and they have since been taken into a sanctuary. We enquired and we are very much looking forward to meeting our 'mewest' arrival.... another little ginger short hair exactly like our Ambrose!

He is currently called 'Frodo' but soon he will be called 'Kristoff' like all things these days in our house we have  a Frozen themed name! Surprisingly it works as Ambrose is such a unique name,  we need an equally unique name for our newest baby!

I am a big lover of cats, I adore their personalities, their cleverness and I find their behaviour so interesting. They are so independent and so very loving.... they are hugely misunderstood! I am so looking forward to our newest baby arriving!

Here he is..... Kristoff!

And of course our special little Ambrose ( On the right) .... who has definitely grown lots in the last two years!

Visit to the Jeanie Johnston

On Sunday we took our new Au pair to visit the Jeanie Jonhnston ship, it was known as a ' Famine ship' as during the famine it took over two thousand people across to Canada and the US to being their new lives. It is a replica ship built to honour such an important part of Irish history, it is said that Ireland has never fully recovered from the emigration of this era.

It is amazing to walk to decks of a ship that's most important claim is Life! It is one of the only ships that can claim that nobody every died on board... Every other ship had multiple casualties, the Jeanie Jonhnston was never called a 'coffin ship' as many of these ships became known. I thought it was very important to bring my children to see such an important part of their heritage. Our new au pair Francesca loved it too.

Even though the weather was a bit chilly and windy, we still enjoyed a lovely day walking on the grounds of Trinity College, and we had some nice lunch before walking Grafton St and watching the street performers....

Here we are!

Easter Sunday 2014

Easter Sunday was spent with my family in Waterford this year, we had a lovely relaxing weekend.  The children had a great time and it was really lovely to spend time with our family. The weather was beautiful for April!

My brother took some mice family photos, and some nice photos of the kids... Here's our lil family...

Easter Sunday we took the children on an Easter egg hunt in the beautiful Mount Congreve gardens. They are so pretty, and the kids loved it! They got to plant seeds, visit the main house and hunt for treats. I loved spending time with my family and my wonderful children! And to top it off we even got to meet the Easter Bunny!
