Trip to The Pirate Village

Last weekend we took the kids to the Pirate's Village in Blanchardstown. They had a great time, they jumped and bounced and had lots of fun... Dylan especially jumped and bounced and threw himself down the slides, luckily they were all inflatable, he definitely keeps my nerves on the edge of panic!

They really loved the trampoline where they harness you in and you can bounce up and down, Dylan was disgusted he wasn't allowed to do any flips! and Lauren was so tiny they had to bounce her as she couldn't quite reach!

Of course we needed to take the train! don't you love Dylan's ' yeah I'm too cool for this train, just here to mind the sister!'

I may have bounced on the giant trampoline!  it was great!

We all had a fun day here, we finished it off with dinner out!

Love these two...

90th birthday bash

Tonight we celebrated Derek's grandmother's 90th birthday! 90 imagine it! She thoroughly enjoyed herself and we all enjoyed making her feel special. Derek has quite a big family which contrasts to mine, he has so many cousins! Looking around the beautiful function room, seeing all of these people and knowing that they are all here just because of her! I have my husband and children all because of her... what a gift!

We had a beautiful meal and she happily danced with all of her sons and treated us to a lovely song or two! All in all I think she had a fantastic night, we did too, we loved catching up with our family and had a really lovely night!

New Years Eve... It's 2014!

This new year we really took things easy, Dylan had a sleepover with his friend on New Years Eve, so we made cupcakes before he left and they loved playing with all the sprinkles! I am literally still sweeping sprinkles off my floor! Derek and I spent the night relaxing watching movies and enjoying a nice bottle of wine  it was a lovely night, definitely a long way away from how we used to spend New years!

New Year's Day was even more laid back just chilling out, we went for a family dinner to our favourite place with the kids. We all had some time off and we all enjoyed our time together, I really appreciated all the special time we spent together hanging around and sleeping late. I was so happy to have the week off work and I enjoyed every minute with my little family! I got to visit my family in Waterford and the whole break was just what we all needed!

Here are my guys making their cupcakes on New Years Eve...

So it's a new year and we are all looking forward to all the wonderful things that are lined up this year! Mostly I am so grateful to have a wonderful family and a job I love, with lots of great things on the horizon...

Welcome 2014!

Our Magical Christmas 2013

Our two little people were so happy and excited when they went downstairs Christmas morning, Santa was very good to them. We had to be up very early to travel to my parents house, they woke up just after us at 6am, when they came down the lights from the tree were lighting the room, and there on the chairs were the presents they had wished for, the squeals of excitement were the best bit for me!

Lauren got a Rapunzel doll, a Barbie, an Innotab with a Disney princess game, a new doll and buggy and some puzzles.

Dylan got a TV for his room to play his xbox, some new xbox games, a skateboard, some board games, and two remote control cars (there's an emoticon to block his name on his board!)

Dylan was really delighted with his gifts and Lauren was overwhelmed as she really understood the whole concept of Santa so much better this year. She was so excited to see Santa had made such a mess to get the food for Rudolph! Soon our floors were full of wrapping paper and boxes.

Look what Santa brought...

Happy faces...

Then we set off to Waterford, it was so cold and frosty and the scenery was so pretty to look at, I had to capture some pictures of the beautiful frost on the grass, it was so cold and gorgeous to look at

When we got to Waterford there were even more presents to open! but first we got some pictures        by the Christmas tree

The night before Christmas

This year Christmas Eve was spent relaxing and getting ready for Christmas, we spent the morning watching cartoons and making some chocolate shapes for Santa. Derek's parents came over to go to Christmas Eve mass with us, I sang at mass and it was really lovely in the church there was a great atmosphere. After mass we headed home to get ready for Santa! The kids were so excited and giddy it was adorable!

Here's Dylan on Christmas Eve morning

Then we had our story and it was time for bed!

Then Derek and I watched a movie in front of the fire and had some goodies! It was great to relax after the busy few days getting organised for Christmas Day! It was a lovely way to finish off the day.... We are so lucky to have too beautiful children to spoil at Christmas, looking at them all excited and happy warms my heart.

 Merry Christmas Eve
